Prior to going in-house, attorney John Nuelle’s practice was primarily focused on litigation.  His clients included developers, contractors, HOAs and owners in pre-litigation disputes and lawsuits.  He has brought that experience to Schell Nuelle and helps clients navigate the pre-litigation process and right to repair laws, as well as litigation.  Further, he has experience negotiating contracts with the focus on protecting the rights of the parties with the intent of avoiding litigation in the first place.

The attorneys at Schell Nuelle also represent clients in various real estate transactions and disputes.  We have represented clients in drafting and negotiating purchase and sales agreements, due diligence, lease agreements and unlawful detainer actions.

Troy Schell, Partner

Mr. Schell received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History from the University of Arizona in 1997. He received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2000 and is a current member of the California State Bar.

Specialty: Business transactions and corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, civil litigation, contracts, professional liability, employment law and healthcare management.

John E. Nuelle, Partner

Mr. Nuelle received his Bachler of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1997.  In 2001, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law, in Los Angeles, where he graduated cum laude.  Mr. Nuelle is a member of the State Bar of California and State Bar of Texas, State Bar of New Jersey and State Bar of Missouri.

Gardenia Montero, Associate

Ms. Montero graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Development Studies and Anthropology with a Minor in Workplace Studies. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Western State College of Law in Irvine and is a current member of the California State Bar.

Specialty: Employment law, civil litigation, business litigation.

Pro Bono/ Volunteer: Ms. Montero is also active as a volunteer in the community and is head of the firm’s pro bono projects.
